Our central Government Client are looking for an experienced Security Architect.

Role profile

  • Assist in the creation, development and implementation of our client's cybersecurity baseline control set within programmes and projects;
  • Deliver security architecture SME's into design reviews to deliver design assurance;
  • Deliver end to end security architecture across technology programmes and projects;
  • Represent our client as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in relation to security architecture, and support wider programmes and projects;
  • Liaise with projects and business representatives to design and implement secure solutions in line with the business requirements;
  • Deliver high-quality artefacts and documentation to support design governance using System Design Reviews (SDR) aligned to the EASE (Enterprise Architecture System Engineering) framework.
  • Submission of updates to technical leadership team via standard reporting mechanisms.

Skills/Expertise:

  • Ability to write architectural design documents, or review design documents provided by others.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of security architecture methodologies;
  • Must have a proven track record of implementing and or assuring infrastructure, applications, and information security solutions including technologies such as protective monitoring covering IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, endpoint security, patch management, system hardening, cloud security, gateway security, encryption and PKI, identity and access management, application security and cross-domain solutions.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory and its concepts, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data centre, and application software.
  • Experience within Secure Government organisations as a security architect.
  • Experience in designing and implementing secure 'On Premise' and 'Cloud' based solutions.
  • Excellent understanding of Government Security processes and procedures.
