EC&I Warranty and Aftersales Engineer
Permanent, Full-time
Rosyth Based
Travel Required

About the role

We're looking to recruit an Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Warranty and Aftersales Engineer to join our Liquified Gas Equipment (LGE) Division. We design and supply cargo handling systems for liquefied gas ships that carry Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) across the globe. Current projects are mainly in South Korea and China at the biggest shipyards in the world and we are also involved in numerous other projects and locations.

You'll be part of a large team of design, project, aftersales and commissioning engineers of multiple engineering skillsets. You'll sit within the Warranty and Aftersales Team and you will troubleshoot and provide advice to clients for any electrical, control and instrumentation issues.

Issues could be; failed/faulty components which would need to be ordered and advice given to the client for installation, design failure which will need to be passed to the design team for rectification or you may need to travel on-board a vessel to troubleshoot and fix the problem.

As well as being part of a business that continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, we'll also provide you with all the training, support and benefits that you'd expect from a global company.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need to have a minimum of a HNC in Electrical/Electronic discipline.

Would also like you to have experience in the following areas:
* Experience with PLC based Control Systems and programming.
* Capable of working alone and to time constraints
* Able to travel at short notice and willing to sail with a vessel for short periods as required

Lastly, you'll need to be able to deploy good communication and influencing skills as you'll work closely with the client and our internal and external stakeholders.

What else do I need to know?

* We are based at Rosyth, Scotland
* Permanent position with a competitive annual salary and excellent benefits.
* 37.5 hours per week; 7:30am to 15:45 Monday to Thursday and 7:30am to 14:30 on Friday.
* Travel will be required to vessels and length of time is dependent on the reason. An additional payment will be made for any weekends spent away and there will be a day off provided upon return.

We're committed to providing a great employee experience in a supportive and engaging environment. The benefits you can expect to enjoy include a generous holiday entitlement, competitive money purchase pension scheme with life assurance and a share ownership scheme. You'll benefit from excellent career and learning and development opportunities to ensure that you grow and achieve your full potential.
