DIGITAL SPECIALIST - READING - £350/£425 - 3 Months Initial

The work location is in READING and is an initial 3 months contract.

Pay rate is between £350 - £425 per day.

The role is working for a multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences company and one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.

Job Purpose
The Digital Marketing Technical Consultancy will provide technical and practical advice to IT Business Partners, the IT Digital Marketing Executive and marketing and sales managers across the PH, Consumer Health, Crop Science and Animal Health in the UK and Ireland. The technical advice will support and enable business strategies as they seek to operate in the rapidly changing multi-channel digital sales environment.
Working alongside global and local teams to provide technical consultancy for digital solutions including website, apps, social media and associated analytics, video conferencing solutions and closed loop marketing systems.
A key aspect of the role will be liaison with the Global IT teams dealing with domain management, Team Site and Site Core content management systems, website analytics team (using WTOD as the current approved standard), SEO, SEA, and the Global Mobility Group in the deployment of apps.
The role will require liaison with external 3rd party design and technical agencies working in the Team Site content management system, providing technical guidance in the development of digital assets and ensuring all digital assets comply with SOPs and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible, with the support of the Digital Marketing Executive, for the implementation of technical aspects of digital projects, as agreed by the IT Business Partners with the business groups, providing technical advice and recommendations.
  • To be the key technical liaison point with all Global teams pertinent to the development and deployment of all digital assets, ensuring local digital marketing and sales projects are implemented on time and within budget.
  • Lead technical discussions with external design and development agencies providing technical advice and guidance for the development of digital assets to ensure successful outcome of digital projects on behalf of the local business units.
  • Provide solutions to technical queries and issues that may arise from external agencies, channelling them through the appropriate Global teams to resolution.
  • Manage escalations to closure as contact point, ensuring customer satisfaction through service delivery to agreed SLAs, and software support to resolution.
  • Provide general advice on security issues relating to the client's digital assets ensuring compliance with their standards
  • Provide advice on the use of WTOD in web analytics reporting, SEO, SEA to support marketing campaigns
  • Report on the implementation of digital assets through analytics, providing the business owners with insights on success and advice on how to improve outcomes. Lead technical discussions with design and technical agencies to challenge and improve the implementation of digital project where necessary.
  • Make small and minor content changes and updates to existing internal and externally facing websites, apps, and CLM presentations (using Agnitio and Rainmaker platforms)
  • Provide technical support and advice for delivery of webcasts and webinars
  • To be the local technical and/or project lead for the implementation of Global IT projects related to the client's digital assets such as security and compliance reviews or migration of assets to approved content management systems
  • Manage local digital assets through the client's DAM system (MIRA)
  • Provide a focal point and technical knowledge relating to implementation of digital assets, principally websites, apps, social media and multi-channel marketing including CLM solutions, for the local IT department, providing training for IT colleagues to develop their knowledge and skills in the digital space, with particular focus on transfer of technical knowledge and skills to the Digital Marketing Executive.


Qualifications

  • 2 years minimum of front-end web development experience (ideally LAMP) using HTML 5, PHP, CSS
  • Knowledge of TCP / IP and DNS
  • Web analytics reporting, ideally WTOD, SEO and SEA, paid search and Content Marketing.
  • Knowledge of Team Site and Site Core content management system
  • Experience using Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
  • App development (HTML5, SWIFT, OBJ C)
  • Windows stack web development (IIS/.NET)
  • Social media management platforms e.g. SPRINKLR
  • Managing webcasts and webinars
  • Implementing 'Cloud' based services and associated security implications
  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Marketing techniques, good communication skills, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills and relationship management with external and internal customers
  • Experience of current digital marketing landscapes
  • Experience providing technical consultation to internal stakeholders regarding online marketing campaigns in order to identify successful solutions
  • Project management skills, ability to work under pressure to self-manage against targets and deadlines, review and set goals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal in a friendly and diplomatic manner with clients and internal teams.
