My client is currently looking for a Digital Project Manager to plan, architect, execute and finalise digital projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes directing and coordinating the efforts of internal team members, third-party contractors or consultants and client contacts in order to deliver projects according to plan.

The successful Digital Project Manager will define project objectives and oversee quality control, identifying and managing project risk throughout its life cycle to ensure that the project goals are accomplished and client needs are met.

The successful Digital Project Manager will report directly to the Head of Digital production and the Director of Digital and Strategy.

Project/Role Related Competencies

Project management

  • Works with interactive designers to create user friendly wireframes
  • Works with Account Director and Clients to define and document project requirements
  • Works with agency and external resources to create project plans against project requirements
  • Works with Account Director to refine project plan and agree budget
  • Creates and executes project timing schedules and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Works with Digital and Creative Directors to assign individual responsibilities (understanding skills matrix for all team members to assist with resource planning and escalate any concerns)
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project, ensuring all stakeholders are undertaking their tasks - check in with all resources every day and plan team catch ups if necessary. Effective prioritisation of tasks aligned with client and business needs (delivery and commercial requirements)
  • Manages internal reviews (quality assurance procedures) throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identifies and manages exposure and risk on project
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Manages content migration process
  • Runs and co-ordinates the testing plan/QA/User acceptance procedure

Personal Requirements

  • The ability to build strong, friendly and professional relationships internally and with clients
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to use own initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially when employing individual processes and procedures. Detailed testing is required
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to compose professionally constructed documents and presentations for internal / external viewing
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to use email and Internet applications
  • Ability to use Mac OS-X operating system. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and potentially Microsoft Project etc
  • Experience with Axure, Viewpath and/or Basecamp a bonus
