Our client, a leading financial services organisation has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Product Manager to join their team based in London for an initial 3 month contract

Purpose of role

  • Supports the Digital Business banking area with the vision, strategy, design, and execution of their digital product / service.
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards

Technical Skills/Competencies

Extensive experience of digital proposition development and delivery - including planning, user case creation, and user experience design,

The key technical competencies include:

  • Deliver research and usability testing
  • Understanding of customer centric design techniques
  • Problem solving skills, including the ability to apply creative and innovative thinking, challenge the status quo and drive beneficial process improvements
  • Strong commercial perspective - understanding of, and ability to communicate to stakeholders, the Digital Banking strategy and the commercial consequences of proposition design decisions. Ability to influence these design decisions where required
  • Supplier / stakeholder / customer relationship management skills, including the ability to negotiate, agree and manage the scope of activities
  • High-level communications, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Conduct senior stakeholder review sessions, ensuring understanding of concepts in order to gain support and sign off of deliverables

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience of delivering digital propositions as part of a wider team
  • Employing a broad and diverse range of digital proposition development best practices, disciplines, methodologies and tools
  • Knowledge of online and/or mobile services, capabilities and trends
  • Experience in the delivery of digital propositions to market
  • Knowledge of the development, treatment and application of Brand principles.
  • Understanding of commercial principles within the Financial Services industry
  • Exposure to risk management and corporate governance, including regulated practices

Experience, qualifications and other requirements specific to the role

Essential

  • Digital product or proposition development experience
  • Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent experience
  • Use of relevant design, research and presentation software.
  • Adept at evaluating economic, market and customer trends affecting the business and its customers
  • Proposition development experience gained in a complex Financial Services environment
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated market with exposure to operational risk management
  • Knowledge of online and mobile platforms, including the technology profile and customer service experience a benefit
  • Knowledge of payments processes and products
  • Knowledge and experience of business banking
