Digital & Marketing Project Manager (eCommerce) - Kirkby-in-Ashfield with travel - Initial 3 month contract

Digital & Marketing Project Manager (eCommerce) required to join a reputable ICT support and teaching company based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield with travel on an initial 3-month contract.

You will be responsible for managing and delivering projects across the business area to establish best practice regarding the control of scope, time, cost, quality risk and benefit realisation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Delivering projects through the full lifecycle and aligned to business requirements as directed by the PMO Manager
  • Providing proactive advice and pragmatic guidance to project teams, sponsors and other stakeholders throughout the life of their projects with a key focus on delivering success outcomes
  • Taking direct responsibility for the management of all logs and schedules associated with a given project or projects
  • Monitor project reporting to assist the PMO Manager in the management of key stakeholders
  • Support the PMO Manager in the establishment and maintenance of stakeholder maps/RACI matrix
  • Support the PMO Manager in the establishment, revision and refinement of frameworks and standards for project and programme management
  • Manage and compile project related financial and KPI information as required
  • Oversee project costs in close support of the Finance team
  • Assist in the preparation of Business Case documents
  • Establish and help support resource planning within projects
  • Establish and maintain a suitable RAID log to monitor Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies for any given project or projects
  • Support and help maintain appropriate project control and governance
  • Prepare regular status reporting to support established governance and to enable management by exception
  • Ensure change control is effectively managed for project documentation
  • Contribute to finding practical and pragmatic solutions to help address projects and change related problems



Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record as a Project Manager, ideally in a FMCG or Retail environment, wider experience in the Education sector an advantage
  • Specific experience within eCommerce essential as initial work will be in this area. Direct experience of managing a Request for Proposal (RFP) process in relation to eCommerce a distinct advantage
  • Specific experience of projects within broader Marketing function/context a distinct advantage
  • Broad project management experience across business functions - commercial, supply chain, IT, Finance - all not essential, but a good cross section will be an advantage
  • Experience of the full project lifecycle
  • Qualifications in PRINCE2 or equivalent essential
  • Degree or similar higher qualification desirable
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good working knowledge of SharePoint or similar
  • Excellent written communication
  • Articulate and confident
  • Diplomatic and with a demonstrable ability to influence
  • Training and coaching skills to assist experienced colleagues that are inexperienced at Project Management a distinct asset
  • Confident facilitation skills
