The work location is in LEEDS and is a 6 month contract paying 400-500Per Day.

The role is working for an entertainment leader, innovating in research and development to shape the future of society at large. Working in a company always innovating and thinking ahead.

Must Have Essential Key skills & Background:

  • Deep understanding of Linux operating systems particularly CentOS and Ubuntu
  • Extensive experience working with, installing and configuring Nginx, Tomcat and other common Open Source application and web servers.
  • Commercial experience of working on and running large web application infrastructures.
  • Experience developing, installing and configuring with Puppet
  • Experience in setup and administration of Jenkins
  • Experience of building monitoring solutions with Prometheus, Icinga, Nagios or similar
  • Hands-on experience of the following technical areas:
    • VMware ESXi 5.x
    • Terraform, Packer, Vagrant
    • NoSQL Databases
    • Rancher/kubernetes/docker

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhancing and supporting a build framework for deploying applications and managing Linux servers
  • Running development, stage and production environments and deployments
  • Supporting and working alongside Agile development teams to ensure they have all the facilities to get the job done.
  • Driving best technology and software development practices into the team with
  • Owning and managing relationships with multiple suppliers &/or equivalent internal teams
  • Designing and implementing a platform including automated provisioning, security, management infrastructure
  • Establishing and running the processes for on-going maintenance monitoring support and security patching of a platform.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement within the team.
