Design Engineer (Structures/Propulsion) required for fast growing Bristol based Aerospace Company offering interesting and varied work with and the chance to work on exciting and innovative new projects!

As Design Engineer (Structures/Propulsion) you will work on the development of the aircraft structure from the ground up, work on the, Design and specify of component requirements ready for supplier negotiations and Meeting the Means of Compliance standards required by the authorities.

The ideal Design Engineer (Structures/Propulsion) candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or Similar as well as having a fundamental knowledge of Aircraft Structure and be able to effectively analyse the complex system from a Design perspective, Possess hands on experience developing aircraft structural technology and experience and proficiency of at least one modern CAD package (Solidworks preferred)

The Role:

* Design Engineer (Structures/Propulsion)

* Development of Aircraft Structures proposals and definitions to aerospace standards

* Design and specify of component requirements ready for supplier negotiations

* Meeting the Means of Compliance standards required by the authorities

* Assisting in the management of suppliers delivering components or systems to the project

* Generating alternate proposals when required

* Assisting with the build and fault-finding of the project

The Person:

* Hands on experience of developing and installing Aircraft Structure to aviation standards

* Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or Similar

* Detailed knowledge of current and developing Aircraft Structural technology

* Detailed understanding of the Design requirements and System Engineering approach

* Experience and proficiency of at least one modern CAD package (Solidworks preferred)
