Deputy Head of School Effectivness (Engineering and Maintenance), FTSE 100 Organisation £100,000 + Car + Benefits

I am recruiting a Deputy Head of School Effectivness on behalf of a FTSE 100 organisation .

The role will provide deputy leadership and development of the school effectiveness function across education to achieve business objectives and KPI's. You will be responsible for the strategic leadership of a highly skilled team and portfolio of approximately 1,100 schools and education establishments.

Main Purpose of Role

  • Deputy leadership of the School Effectiveness function including the development of strategy, capability and expertise within the teams to drive the growth of the services
  • Demonstrate improvements in outcomes for children and young people through appropriate metrics and work with the Head of Operations and Regional Managers to deliver contractual KPIs
  • Accountability for the profitable delivery of the service via regional contracts and other sales
  • Work collaboratively with all senior leads in Operations and Business Development to meet business objectives and KPIs
  • Improve quality and support growth through shared best practice, innovation and economies of scale
  • Manage and develop relationships with key decision makers in the core contracts and to develop within other LAs to support growth
  • Work with Business Development and Bid teams to win major bids and with Marketing to develop new products and innovative methods of delivery
  • Participate in the strategic development of the wider Education business


  • Degree Qualified
  • School Leadership experience
  • Committed to safeguarding of and improving the outcomes for children and young people
  • Results driven with robust financial and operational management to deliver budgeted revenue and margin
  • Outstanding leadership and development of well qualified and experienced staff to deliver significant change
  • Commands attention at senior levels through effective interpersonal skills
  • Focuses on health, safety, safeguarding and a developmental environment
