Demand Manager - Swindon - 6 Months

We are currently seeking a Demand Manager to work within a Finance / Banking environment, based in Swindon.

The idea candidate will come from an IT Support, Development or IT Service Management related background.

Ideally you would have also worked in a Banking or Financial Services environment, but that is not essential.

The key responsibility for this role is the minimise the occurrence in IT service outages and incidents, and their impact on the company and its members through: -

  • Gathering expected business demand for IT services via multiple sources
  • Ensuring that all demands are recorded and have the right level of information
  • Aggregating demand across all business areas, user profiles and business processes
  • Working with Capacity Management to translate business demand into demand for individual IT services

Essential Skills and Experience: -

  • Broad business background gained from minimum of 7 years within a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of demand planning and modelling
  • ITIL foundation certification with practical understanding of ITIL framework and best practice processes with minimum of 3 years' experience applying these in a complex IT environment
  • Ability to liaise with senior level stakeholders effectively to communicate issues, risks and opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels, including senior-level report writing
  • Good influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to prioritise demanding workloads and remain calm and objective under pressure
  • Pays attention to detail as well as a big picture view
