Data Architect = Life Science / Pharma Permanent Salary - Negotiable Overall job purpose:Responsible for ensuring that the clients digital products are underpinned by a robust data architecture. The role will include ensuring all enterprise products across operational and research aspects of genomics business systems are supported by a clear and maintained data architecture. Where appropriate this will include adoption of standards such as OMOP. The data architect will report to the CTO and will be assigned to the appropriate product / data squad. The data architect will be accountable for the data architecture including data flows, data dictionaries and data models. Essential Skills3 - 4 years' experience of data architecture within a life science, genomics or health care secondary uses settingData modelling including ER modelling, Data flow diagramsKnowledge of genomic data structures including VCF's and associated meta data such as tiering - demonstrated experience of working in this environmentProven leadership skills and practical experience of data architecture across complex range data database technologies including relational, nonrelational data, unstructured object storage, cloud database technologiesCommunication skills (data). Ability to establish the needs of technical and business stakeholders and interpret themData analysis and synthesis. Experience of undertaking data profiling and source system analysis.
