Location: Home based with some travel to Nottingham or London as required
Duration: 3 months

This role is within the Technology Risk function which is a Second Line of Defence (2LoD) function that has the purpose to be specialists who oversee and are business partners in managing "enterprise" risk across the function through:

  • Guidance: providing policies, frameworks, tools, techniques and support to enable risk to be managed in the First Line (1LoD). Where the 1LoD is both Business (Including external) and Technology facing
  • Oversight and Challenge: Monitoring and assurance to provide a second opinion on the effectiveness of 1LOD. Reporting an independent and potentially aggregated view of the business. Horizon scanning the future Risk landscape including regulatory change.

Role Objective

This short-term role will undertake delivery focused activities to accelerate and enhance the implementation and embedding of the Risk Management Framework and build risk maturity across the Technology function.

Working with specialists from the Technology Risk team, this role will shape, design and deliver new processes to generate insightful dashboards and reports for stakeholders at all levels inside and outside the function.

It will coordinate across Technology to identify and consume relevant data, re-using existing capabilities to the fullest extent. It will also define the structure and operational processes to enable Technology Risk to maintain the reporting capability in business-as-usual, including recommendations for further improvement projects.

Expected Experience

  1. Source and transform data from multiple sources into a useful structure for analysis and interpretation.
  2. Create insightful and engaging visualisations, dashboards and reports, whether scheduled, ad-hoc or self-serve.
  3. Skilled in Power BI and SharePoint.
  4. Build operational processes - including automation wherever possible - to embed data and reporting capabilities into business-as-usual operation.
  5. Perform effective engagement across a modern Technology function (including understanding of typical processes and data types)
  6. Exposure to risk management frameworks (or similar)
