Customer Support Officer

London - £25,000 + Benefits

Our client is a leading source of intelligent information for the world's businesses and professionals, providing customers with a competitive advantage. Their Tax & Accounting business is the leading provider of technology and information solutions, as well as integrated tax compliance software and services to accounting, tax and corporate finance professionals.

They are seeking a Customer Support Officer to join the team who will be responsible for providing customer support and technical assistance to their clients in an effective and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Concisely and accurately log support request information, paying particular attention to problem description, resolution, user reaction and follow up action.
  • Identify causes of and solve problems for customers within acceptable time standards
  • Respond to enquiries from customers in relation to the installation, functionality and performance of supported products either verbally by telephone or in writing by email
  • Take full accountability for customer enquiries and either respond personally or escalate to appropriate team and ensure that a response is provided and given to the customer in a timely manner

Experience required:

  • Excellent customer service/people skills
  • Experience working in a customer support/customer facing role - either over the phone of helpdesk environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - particularly over the telephone
  • Good basic software skills.
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn
  • Team player and able to engage with internal stakeholders

Desirable experience:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent). Finance or technology-related subject preferred
