Customer Support Engineer (EDBS Cleared) - Darlington with travel - initial 3 month contract

Customer Support Engineer (EDBS Cleared) required to join a reputable ICT support and teaching company focusing on providing on-site support to Trust schools in Darlington (base location), Gateshead and Sunderland on an initial 3 month contract with the view to extend.

Due to the urgent nature of the role and working in the school environment, the client ideally requires that candidates hold current active Enhanced DBS clearance.

Keys Essential Skills:

  • LAN Support.
  • Windows 7 & 10.
  • Apple Devices inc. MAC Mini, MAC's, MAC Books, iPads, iPods.
  • Google Suite Inc. Chromebook and management.
  • Anti-Virus Management.
  • Audio\Visual Support inc. IWB's, Projectors and Large Format Displays\LCDs.
  • MS SharePoint & O365.
  • General Hardware Maintenance.
  • Software installation, configuration and support.

Desirable Skills:

  • Cisco Networking & Telephony.
  • Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016.
  • ESXi, VMWare & SAN.
  • CC4
  • Thin Client inc. Thin Station (Citrix & Wyse)
  • Apple IOS inc. Mountain Lion, Yosemite, Sierra, El Capitan.
  • Back-up and Recovery inc. Tape & Disk Staging Servers.
  • Digital Signage Solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Requirement to visit and help at other Schools in the North East region if required.
  • Good Customer Service Skills.
  • Ability to Communicate at all levels from Pupils, Teachers, Senior Leadership inc. Head\Principal.
  • Ability to translate Technical Information in a non-technical way.
  • Experience of using Call Management applications.
  • Ability to liaise with remote teams to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Key Team player but able to work on own initiative.

Suitable candidates must have a valid UK driving licence is key and must be available to start as soon as possible.
