Customer Insight Manager

We are actively looking to secure a Customer Insight Manager to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

The role is working with a well-established, multi-national retailer and specialises in clothing, home and luxury products.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • To undertake and communicate a 'state of the nation' for customers and consumers which will lead the seasonal planning processes for Marketing and the Buying teams, two times a year
  • To work with the Strategy Director and the Transformation Director on projects which go across BUs (e.g. category roles, model stores), providing Insight to input into the projects, managing the output, as well as representing the voice of the Clothing & Home customer as the projects develop
  • To produce, get support for and communicate across the business who our target customers are
  • To present a quarterly Customer Update to the Marketing Director and Buying Directors, combining all customer insight data and research
  • To work alongside the Head of Dotcom, collating, creating and presenting the customer insight required to help aid strategic decision making and prioritisation
  • To undertake and communicate competitor reviews for Christmas, Spring, Summer and Autumn/Winter
  • To brief, manage and produce key insight headlines to be included in Seasonal Reviews
  • To ensure Directors and Heads Of stakeholders in Buying and Marketing are fully engaged with the insight produced and are making decisions based on the insight provided
  • To be a positive, proactive member of the Insight and the Marketing team
  • To manage with excellence the Strategic Insight Assistant

Key measures & KPIs

  • Upper Degree in Business, Marketing or Market Research related subject
  • Experience of multi-functional influencing in a Retail environment
  • Experience of consulting
  • Significant Consumer Insight experience, centred around client side
  • Experience presenting to and challenging Directors and Senior Management
  • Capable of independent analysis and interpretation of complex data from a variety of sources to identify key issues/insights and brand/business implications
  • Business orientated - ability to make data & research-based recommendations in the context of the aims of the business
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (particularly with Powerpoint)
  • Numerate, with good analytical skills and attention to detail
