Customer Engagement Lead - London with travel to Manchester - 3-month rolling contract

Customer Engagement Lead required to join a multinational technology company on an initial 3 month contract based in Shoreditch, London with 5% travel to Manchester.

Key responsibilities

  • Be the local 'host' at a post-accelerator centre in the heart of London's Tech City
  • Organise meetings and briefings, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and organise on-site logistics.
  • During customer visits you will welcome guests, and over time learn how to present aspects of the innovation programme and give guided tours of the centre and demos where appropriate.
  • Working in conjunction with the UK Innovation Team, mainly the Head of Innovation Customer Engagement but also the Technical and Marketing teams, this person will develop and support the activity in post-accelerator centre to support the client.
  • Learn about the start-up ecosystem and develop relationships with the start-ups that operate within a post-accelerator centre.
  • Coordinate innovation briefings to share and advocate the benefits of the client's innovation programmes to the client's teams, customers, partners, and other interested organisations.
  • Coordinate client-led events at a post-accelerator centre, including physical events, virtual events, product launches, lectures and award programmes.
  • Work with the a post-accelerator centre in the heart of London's Tech City local team to align programmes, share best practices, and co-ordinate collaborative activities
  • Work with the marketing teams to ensure the appropriate internal and external promotion and communication of the post-accelerator centre programme
  • Developing partnerships with the client's global innovation centres and other startup ecosystem organisations

Technical skills required

Must have:

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time-management and organisation
  • Good MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with people in the team and external partners
  • Be cognisant of emerging technologies and platforms i.e. Slack + social Media - Twitter, Facebook etc.

Soft skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative and lead
  • Confident, motivated and articulate
  • Good spoken and written English


  • Experience in innovation activities, whether corporate innovation or start-up ecosystems
  • Bachelor's degree
