The work location is in Paddington, LONDON and is a 2 month contract.

The pay rate on offer is between £175 - £225 per day.

The role is working for a well established, multi-national retailer and specialises in clothing, home and luxury product.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

The Food Online Team are responsible for the end-to-end business strategy and operation for Online within the Food group. Working with multiple teams to drive Online growth through new propositions, as well as optimising the customer journey to ensure the best possible Online experience for customers and maximising sales potential. As part of the Food Online team, the Ocado Readiness team is responsible for delivering the required change to ensure the client are ready to go-live on in 2020 and have the BAU processes embedded to support this on an ongoing basis.

The Online Copywriter is a core part of this team and is responsible for creating new copy across the full range of products launching on in 2020 as part of the Product Set Up workstream; support the Online Strategy & Planning manager in understanding the key future changes needed and supporting the teams to execute on the plan and embed the new processes and structures:

  • Lead the work to create copy for the full range of products launching on in 2020 and support in agreeing this with the relevant teams.
  • Provide training and support for copywriters across the foods online team and ensure all copy is aligned to the agreed tone of voice for products on
  • Ensure copy timelines are met and escalate any risks in a timely fashion.
  • Support the Online Strategy & Planning Manager to outline the future requirements to create Online ready and SEO rich copy on a BAU basis.
  • Create and socialise relevant training to embed Online insights and new ways of working with relevant teams
  • Support copywriting projects, as required, across the Online team

Key experience

  • Previous experience working as a copywriter, with experience in both Foods writing and digital copy
  • Exceptional written, communication & presentation skills to all level of seniority, and the ability to be structured and organised, displaying ideas and concepts in a simple and effective way
  • Excellent multi-tasking and stakeholder management skills to be able to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders whilst adhering to set deadlines
  • Experience in optimising copy for search, embedding keywords in a natural and intuitive way
  • High attention to detail with diligent organisation and time management skills
  • Able to work to agreed deadlines, escalating any risks to timelines in good time
  • Interest and awareness of the Food online market and a passion for food is beneficial
  • Customer focused, always putting the needs of the customer first
