Continuous Improvement Manager- £competitive salary, Market Leading, Global Engineering Organisation

I am recruiting on behalf of a global engineering support organisation and market leader across multiple industries worldwide. This particular role functions within their marine and technology division, providing vital support to the Royal navy and other high profile clients.

The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for establishing lean systems and processes to drive a step chance in production business performance.

Main Purpose of Role

  • Working closely with the Production Management Team to implement lean and quality techniques as required.
  • Build and implement stakeholder management strategies and lead the influencing of the agenda for change; setting realistic expectations on both the benefits and drawbacks of specific changes.
  • Communicate strategies and objectives with relevant colleagues.
  • Create a system to evaluate the success of any adjustments made, and present any findings.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of low volume, high value complex manufacturing.
  • Master Black Belt or similar in Lean / 6-Sigma.
  • Experience of process improvement and change management.
  • Capable of understanding the strategic vision and direction and aligning the business to deliver.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and able to use initiative.
  • Confident with strong decision making skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate innovation and creativity.
  • Good leadership skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to set and meet objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
