I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Content Designer.


The successful candidate will be responsible for creating the content strategy and creating and reviewing content throughout the end-to-end user journey. You must be comfortable using data and research to inform content.

You will be working work with a large stakeholder group, so will need to build relationships across government and influence stakeholders, in order to create user-focused content. You will work as part of a scrum team and will need to follow the GOV.UK style guide and Service Standard.


Essential requirements:
* Experience working on GOV.UK and with GDS
* Experience working in the public sector
* Worked in a user-centred product or service development project
* Worked in an AGILE delivery team
* Great collaborator and also able to work well independently
* Able to manage competing priorities and very self-organised

Essential skills:
* User-centred content design - Able to design content that meets user needs. Understands how to implement the Service Standard and GOV.UK style guide, and is able to make complex language and processes easy to understand.
* Building and managing relationships with stakeholders - You can work well with a variety of stakeholders, communicating with them regularly and clearly. You use evidence to explain the decisions you've made and try to find mutual needs with stakeholders through consultation, whilst focusing on user needs.
* You are able to work autonomously - with an ability to manage competing priorities and handle a constantly changing workload.
* Able to take an overarching view when creating the content strategy - You take an overall perspective on business issues and events, their wider implications and long-term impact, when creating strategies. This may include determining patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements.
