JOB DESCRIPTION: Content Designer

Full time, permanent

Main Purpose of Job

Reporting to one of our Marketing Managers, the Content Designer will support a wide variety of projects, producing content for our website, emails, social, multimedia, print collateral and other mediums.

You will work alongside our stakeholders across the business to produce high quality content which will help us fulfil our customer acquisition and engagement targets.

You will be based in our London office with flexible working options available.

The Content Designer supports the marketing activity, working closely with the Director of Marketing, Web Manager, Marketing Managers, and Digital Exec.

Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

WEB DESIGN

  • Create and edit web pages as required, to support marketing campaigns

  • Support SEO and CRO initiatives by improving web pages

  • Ensure brand consistency across our digital estate

EMAIL PRODUCTION

  • Produce regular external newsletters, following our content schedule

  • Produce regular internal email

  • Improve email design to increase OR and CTR

  • Monitor email performance and suggest changes as needed

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Maintain brand consistency across our social channels

  • Responsible for social media scheduling and content distribution

  • Create imagery, film and other content for social media channels

  • Support development of social media strategy which will contribute to departmental goals

GRAPHIC DESIGN

  • Support development of design concepts for campaigns and events

  • Support production of materials for our annual conference and awards events

  • Work with external design agencies to produce reports, whitepapers, other materials

  • Produce PowerPoint slides, print collateral, web banners, and other materials as required

QUALITY CONTROL

  • Maintain suite of Office templates

  • Ensure brand consistency across our channels

  • Maintain bank of social media assets

  • Adherence to brand guidelines, style guide, and QC processes

  • Advise business to ensure brand consistency and clarity

  • Accurate proofreading

  • Support development of new systems and processes according to best practice

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • At all times, ensure your work falls in line with business strategy and the team's priorities

  • Champion 'continuous improvement' across the company

  • Pay due regard to data protection, accessibility guidelines and any other legal requirements, including advising the business about compliance and best practice where appropriate

Knowledge and skills needed to perform this role

  • Passion for Web/CRM technology and trends in digital marketing

  • Website CMS (ideally Concrete5)

  • Email (ideally Click Dimensions)

  • Social (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)

  • Copywriting

  • Proofreading

DESIRABLE

  • UX design

  • Google Analytics

  • CRM (ideally MS Dynamics)

  • Social strategy / social media measurement
