Safety Advisor - Construction- South Of England.

This is a broad and varied role that will see you attending site and management meetings and providing expert, balanced advice to key stakeholders on a range of health, safety and environmental issues across the organization and out in the field at our various construction sites regionally. You'll also play a crucial part in the development of procedures, safe systems of work and other risk control measures to deploy across the organisation as part of the HSSE Management Systems.

Another essential part of the role will be carrying out site inspections and internal audits, looking for areas where local managers can improve their HSSE performance out in the field. You'll then create detailed reports on your findings and advise on recommendations and action plans to help prevent incidents and control hazards. And it's not just inspection reports; you'll also provide environmental reporting guidance to teams right across the business areas you're supporting. There will also be the opportunity to support the business during external surveillance audits and help implement and shape improvement plans to retain key certifications for the business.

You'll have an important part to play in the development of new processes too. Whenever we introduce new systems and processes, it will be up to you to not only advise on their development and help evaluate and contribute to risk assessments, but also to help and advise on the necessary risk control measures that can be employed. There will also be the opportunity to support the business during incident investigations in the event of an accident and offer advice on root cause and trend analysis
