Configuration Engineer - £29,000 + benefits. FTSE 100 engineering organisation with excellent career prospects
I work with a successful and ever-growing FTSE 100 engineering organisation. As a company they work across a diverse range of sectors, including Marine, Nuclear, Rail and Infrastructure. This particular role functions within the submarine support group and plays a key role in providing through life engineering support to the Royal Navy.
The Configuration Engineer is charged with responsibility for enacting the arrangements detailed in the WBSI Configuration Management Plan and ensuring that the engineering configuration of all items within the responsibility of the WBSI is under control.
The primary purpose of the role is to act as the super user for the Design Information Management and Support Information Management repositories in order to control the set of technical documentation and information used by the WBSI to produce the contractual outputs and deliverables.
- Significant experience in engineering, ideally with a background in Submarine design, operation, Dockyard support and/or MoD working practices.
- HND/HNC qualified in a relevant discipline with relevant experience, or OND/ONC qualified with significant relevant experience.
- Relevant knowledge of configuration engineering and related disciplines is desirable
- Project Management Skills are desirable
