The role.

An exciting position has become available for a Composite Engineer to join a world-class experimental hydrodynamics team. The team undertake the development and the physical test capabilities of scaled model ships, submarines and other maritime related projects for commercial and MoD customers.

Become the part of a team of Composite Engineers who manufacture high quality research models, for use in one of Europe's most sophisticated hydrodynamic research centres, located in Gosport, Hampshire.

Key Accountabilities.

The Composite Engineer will work within a small team manufacturing scaled research models to a very high standard and within tight tolerances.

You will be working with a variety of materials such as GRP, Carbon Fibre, Wood, Plastic and Metal

The Composite Engineer's use a range of hand, power and machine tools with some computer-assisted measuring equipment

The Fit.

You must be experienced in boat/marine engineering

You need the ability to understand and follow design drawings

You must be experienced in using woodworking machines

The successful Composite Engineer should have experience and knowledge in the use of GRP.
