Compensation / Reward Manager

3 - 4 Months


Rate: Up to £450 per day

My client is seeking an experienced Compensation / Reward Manager to join their team in London. This role has an initial duration of 3 to 4 months and may extend. Applicants should have experience of the following:

- Reviewing grading structures

- Reviewing salary structures

- Cost analysis

- Strong Excel skills

- Bench marking

- Market data analysis

Key Areas Of Focus

To support the Head of Compensation & Benefits in the following areas:

  • Review of Total Compensation competitiveness of existing compensation practices around the business - including appropriateness and effectiveness of current pay mix within each Country
  • Review of current salary structures for competitiveness and appropriateness - in Countries with sufficient/conducive headcount
  • Review of existing grading structure and recommendations for managing outliers.
  • Analysis of existing market data providers and formulation of a recommendation for go-forward usage
  • Analysis of existing UK pay practices in preparation for Equal Pay audit and review with Works Council
  • Being the initial point of contact for assisting our HRBP's with regards to compensation support and queries - provide expert guidance and advice on ad-hoc salary reviews, market competitiveness of current employee compensation, new starter compensation etc.
  • Cost analysis and recommendations for harmonisation of existing STI Plans where appropriate
  • Handling any outstanding year end compensation queries

Key Skills / Experience

  • 6- 8 years Compensation experience managing diverse compensation programmes preferably in a Global/International context
  • High level of analytical skills, including strong use of Excel including v-lookup and pivot tables and experience dealing with large volumes of data.
  • Highly organized - ability to manage across different time lines
  • Comfortable learning new systems and technologies; knowledge of WorkDay HRIS a plus
  • Demonstrated in depth knowledge in compensation plan design, theories and common practices and their administration
  • Knowledge of standard and non-traditional job evaluation methodologies, senior and executive compensation, salary structures, merit budget development, equity evaluation, and management / executive short term and long term incentive plan design all desirable
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of finance/corporate planning processes and company strategy
