The Role

We require a Communications Systems Integration Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the technical delivery of secure end to end radio solutions in a multi-bearer, mobile environment from high level design to delivery and transition to service.

You will be required to deliver IT solutions, by taking existing design documents and building and testing to the required specification and support detailed design documentation for specific aspects, as well as independently create and run testing schedules.

The successful candidate will be working with other parts of the business and customer or subcontractors to integrate technology into solution and must be able to ensure documentation is clear and concise and appropriate to the project and have the ability to identify and resolve technical issues and problems in a timely manner.

The Fit

The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) with suitable experience in Communications and knowledge of systems including VLF, HF, UHF and Satcom. Some knowledge of military comms systems including VLF, Bowman, Falcon and/or Skynet5/6 or legacy Maritime comms, would be useful but not essential.

An understanding of the military environment will be ideal, generally with a focus on one of air, maritime or land. This will include a technical understanding of the systems that are deployed, and the types of information being passed over the networks
