Commodity Buyer/Manager

The candidate will take ownership of supplier performance & improvement from a Cost, Delivery and Quality perspective. You will be responsible for establishing strong working relationship and communication rhythm with cross functional organizations to assure business needs are fully understood and translated into supplier strategy/supplier requirements.

This candidate must hit the ground running and have the capability to communicate and liaise at all levels of the business.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead Sourcing Negotiations, Strategic Projects, Rationalisation, Project Leadtime identified spend.
  • Financial Savings/Cost reduction: Negotiate pricing and Payment terms on all purchase requisition volume assuring most competitive pricing is achieved without sacrificing Quality or fulfilment needs.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Manage all aspects of supplier performance including Purchase Order Pricing, PO Placement, and PO Acceptance, Supplier Promise date commitment, delivery confirmation and payment issuance.
  • Manage and maintain on time delivery in accordance with Targets set.
  • Collaborate with other sourcing units and functions for Synergies of Agreements, Costing volumes and Commercial Terms
  • Be responsible for establishing strong working relationship and communication rhythm with cross functional organizations to assure business needs are fully understood and translated into supplier strategy/supplier requirements.
  • Take ownership of supplier performance & improvement from a Cost, Delivery and Quality perspective.
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance to sourcing policies and procedures including No PO No Pay and Competitive Bidding.
  • Provide Flexible Responsive sourcing support to meet stakeholder's needs and specific evolutionary requirements.
  • Partner with Supplier Quality to identify Supplier qualification requirements.
  • Support Cost of Failure negotiations, Ensure On Time Delivery and Supplier performance compliance.
  • Support Preferred Supplier Programs including client initiatives. Compliance with client Integrity and working to develop Sourcing Policies and Procedures at all times.
