Commercial & Supply Chain Assistant

Up to £30,000 Fareham

We are looking to recruit a Commercial & Supply Chain Assistant to work on a new Permanent opportunity for a FTSE100 engineering and support services business, working out of HMS Collingwood in Fareham.

The organisation are the UKs leading provider of engineering support solutions to the MoD and Armed Forces as well as being market specialist's within other industries such as construction, energy, marine technology, emergency services, network engineering and training. The Commercial & Supply Chain Assistant will support commercial and supply chain activities, from tendering processes through to contract management and project delivery.

Key outputs/deliverables will be

  • Act as the day-to-day customer interface in the Joint Programme Management office, providing commercial support and assistance to the Contract management team
  • Respond to regular and ad hoc customer requests for commercial information
  • As required, produce commercial reports and graphics to provide contract and functional senior management with timely & accurate information
  • Support the commercial and subcontract processes by undertaking some sales admin activity, undertaking due diligence of new customers and suppliers, within delegated financial levels of authority
  • Administer commercial processes, maintain registers and keep records to ensure governance compliance
  • In support of tendering activities, assist in the co-ordination, preparation and compilation of tender documentation

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent administrative and report preparation skills
  • Strong IT skills will be required utilising the full MS Office suite, experience of SAP systems is advantageous
  • Experience in a commercial or supply chain environment is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working as part of mutli-disciplinary and project teams
  • The ability to obtain and hold MoD Security Clearance
