Commercial Manager (Trading and Planning) - London - Initial 3-month contract

Commercial Manager (Trading and Planning) to join a multinational telecommunications company based in London on an initial 3-month contract.

About the role:

  • You will lead the client's Trading and Planning for small to medium sized enterprises across its market leading brands for products such as broadband, mobile and cloud.
  • You will be responsible for the organisation's immediate, and five-year volume and value numbers.
  • You will have an exciting opportunity to work on the launches of IOT and new mobile technologies and influence the future strategy of the small to medium sized enterprises across the organisation.



Key skills
To succeed in this role, you should ideally have:

  • Experience of planning or trading within the telecommunications sector. Experience within SME will be a bonus.
  • The ability to think strategically, have a transformational mindset and be able to work collaboratively.
  • Extensive stakeholder management skills and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to improve performance, manage and develop a delivery team.



Key responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the delivery of end to end trading planning and trading execution to a high standard for the small to medium sized enterprise market.
  • Promoting continuous improvement to the performance framework by which actual performance is measured against targets and clear insight or remedial actions are driven at a director level.
  • Ensuring trading numbers and outcomes vs targets are accurate
  • Collating insight from different small to medium sized enterprises' segment for sales and service
  • Owning the creation, stress testing and updating the budget and 5-year medium term plan for the organisation's products and services
  • Liaising with the finance team regarding medium term plan and budget (BRF).
  • Creating vital inputs and ensuring that the financial targets are hydraulic and linked to business outcomes or enablers for broadband, lines and IP, rather than a solely financially driven trend.
  • Being the digital lead across the small and medium-term enterprise commercial team and driving the digital agenda.
