Commercial Assistant

Experis are working with a UK is a leading system integrator and a direct channel to market for solutions and services based on the cleints industry leading building automation products and software. We address customer's needs for integrated solutions across Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), Fire and Security. Working closely with the cleints partners they serve the needs of customers for whom the building is critical to business as in Airports, Hospitals, Industrial Plants, Educational Institutes, Data Centres, Stadiums and High End Commercial Buildings. Their customers want to work directly with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) due to the complexity and risk profile of their projects.

Position Description
We are looking to appoint a Commercial Assistant to join our commercial team and project team that is currently looking after the BMS solution on Crossrail. The position will report into our Senior QS and will be based out of our offices in Bracknell/ London site office.

Position Deliverables
* Assist in managing flow of information to ensure compliance with program and contract commitments
* Assist in preparation for contractual correspondence like applications, early warning notices, delay notices, timesheets and notices for compensation events etc.
* Collect data and documents relating to sub-contract costs and employee timesheets
* Assist in managing the register for all commercial documents
* Assist in preparation of job costing reports, forecasts, cash flows
* Assist in maintenance of accurate bill of quantities showing costs incurred , committed costs, forecast costs and associated variances
* Assist Senior QS in resolution of disputes

* Degree or diploma qualification desired in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Economics or Building Services
* Exposure to project management is desirable
* Exposure to the construction industry is desirable
* Demonstrable interest in commercial and financial activities


* Fluency in MS Office and Excel
* Strong numeracy skills
* Interest in contract and contract management
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
