CNC Production Manager

£42-50k plus package


Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client - a leading Engineering Support Services organisation for an experienced Production Manager to join their team in Rosyth to be responsible for the CNC Machining Output within the Production Facility.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

  • Ensure compliance to all procedures and policies relevant to CNC machining operational activities
  • Manage and develop CNC Machining front end processes identifying and measuring key pre-production milestones ensuring the most cost effective utilisation of resources and facilities in achieving deliverables
  • Measure and manage support functions to ensure pre-production requirements are met ensuring that the scheduled manufacturing dates are achieved
  • Ensure work is executed in line with contractual requirements
  • Work with scheduling teams to ensure schedule is accurate, sequenced, achievable and in line with deliverables
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities whilst motivating, coaching and mentoring the team
  • Provide technical input to devise machining process strategy for new products and define cycle times and cycle times optimisation
  • Ensure a seamless handover of work and interactions with Fabrication and Welding production teams
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured, recorded and implemented for future activities
  • Develop continuous improvement and embed into the team
  • Ensure quality documentation is correct and up to date at all times
  • Implement lean manufacturing and 5S techniques within area of operations

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

  • Educated to degree level or have demonstrable practical experience within a CNC Production environment
  • Experience of managing high profile strategic projects
  • Scheduling and risk management experience
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Ideally will have been a CNC operator earlier in career and understand CNC Machining from a technical perspective
  • UK National - able to gain and maintain UK SC level security clearance
