Our client are a leading generator of renewable electricity in the UK and Ireland and one of the largest electricity network companies in the UK. They develop, own and operate low carbon infrastructure to support the zero-carbon transition. This includes onshore and offshore wind, hydro power, electricity transmission and distribution grids, efficient gas and energy from waste, alongside providing energy products and services for businesses.
Description:
Cloud and Infrastructure architect with experience working in the cloud and infrastructure space, delivering detailed designs to support business requirements.
Essential Skills:
* Hands-on architecture/design and implementation experience
* A wide ranging infrastructure exposure, including as many of the following as possible:
-Cloud Architecture - Microsoft Azure components, solutions and costing
-Cloud Architecture - AWS components, solutions and costing
-Application Delivery -MS App-V, Citrix
-Virtual Desktops - Citrix ,WVD
- Cloud Network design
-Servers and storage
-Virtualisation - Hyper-V and VMware
-Provision of infrastructure for databases - SQL and Oracle
- Experience with Azure infrastructure such as Account structures e.g. (subscription, tenant), Azure Active Directory, Azure Active Directory Domain Services, Service Principles, RBAC, IAM.
* Experience in migrating Citrix environments into the cloud (Azure), understanding of NetScaler.
*Experience with AWS infrastructure such as Account structures e.g. (AWS Orgs, IAM), AWS Control tower, AWS Landing zone, Guard Rails, AWS Security Hub ,AWS GuardDuty, RBAC, IAM
* Strong Windows server background on both physical and virtual (VMware) infrastructure
* Experienced server migration elements to both on-premise and off-premise
* Hyper-V experience and design
* Migration of applications and services into cloud environment (Azure\AWS or vender SaaS platforms)
