Our Central Government client based in London are recruiting for a Senior Cloud Architect (Architect Owner). The role requires SC Security Clearance. The role is for 3 days per week (not full time).

Supporting development & maintenance of Security architecture
Developing Information Risk Assurance Reports
Risk discovery, treatment & analysis
Technical assessments and assurance of IT products & services
IT security incident management

They will work as part of a Technical Design Authority who are responsible for specific domains.

They will need to collaborate closely with delivery teams and business stakeholders across the enterprise in a multi-supplier environment.

Our client is moving from a large outsourced SI arrangement to an in-house, largely cloud based and open source-based solutions delivered iteratively.

The project:

  • Architect owner for a mission critical orchestration system
  • Owning improvements to or our Digital Customer Service capability
  • Collaborating with Digital Data and Technology on the delivery of technology strategies
  • Championing best practices and assuring alignment with these across digital portfolio

Key Skills / Experience

  • Have in-depth experience of defining and implementing target architectures and roadmaps for Mission critical legacy transformation projects in large scale organisations
  • In depth experience agile environments, continual delivery techniques and dev-ops culture
  • Have in depth experience of cloud architectures, microservice architecture and best practices, especially for deployment
  • Have extensive experience of using AWS environments and services (both native AWS and non-native AWS)
  • Strong provable development background (5+ years), must include Java and Node.JS and associated technologies
  • Experience of government systems
  • Experience of GDS best practices
