Change Communications Specialist - LONDON - £450 - £550 - 5-6 months

The work location is in Paddington, LONDON and is a 5 - 6 months contract.

The pay rate on offer is between £450 - £550 per day.

The role is working for a well established, multi-national retailer and specialises in clothing, home and luxury product.

The client has a partnership with Microsoft and are using TEAMs, their 'new' operating system. As well as getting all the functionality other clients get, the client are trialling some new ones which will ensure they can better connect all of their 80,000 colleagues, make their lives easier, and make them more efficient. Fundamentally, they want to launch it, roll it out and embed it in the business so they can use it as an enabler to transform their colleague communication and engagement and create the culture they want to create where:

  • Everyone is involved and can get on
  • Digital first in their thinking
  • Their leaders are in touch and close to the front line
  • The 'voice of the stores' is heard across the business
  • They are a fast paced, commercial and agile trading organisation

This is a critical role in working across their accountable business units - Food, Clothing and Home, International - as well as their 70,000 colleagues based in-store, to make sure this is not an IT or Comms roll out but drives a change in how colleagues work together as part of their overall transformation.

This is a key role in the TEAMs delivery group and will report to the Director of Corporate Communications, as well as the project lead, and will work with key leaders and stakeholders across the business to identify their needs and bespoke roll out and engagement plans - as well as communicating to the total business; working particularly closely with the Retail Leadership Team. You will also need to work with the wider colleague communications team who partner with each of the client's business units.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to write copy for different audiences
  • Understands the role of internal communications during transformations
  • Credible managing senior stakeholders
  • Digitally savvy with good knowledge of technologies for driving engagement
  • Experienced in using story telling techniques as an engagement tool
  • Track record of developing and delivering internal communication programmes and campaigns that drive engagement, change behaviours and turn strategy into action
  • Foresight to identify and address potential issues at the earliest stage of their development
  • Commercially astute and able to grasp the big picture without losing sight of the detail
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Comfortable drawing on a matrix of support and expertise to deliver goals
  • Experience of working on time-critical change programmes with tangible benefits at the end
