Babcock International play a vital role in the security of the nation, supporting the equipment used by the British Army. This includes the fleet management of over 50,000 vehicles, ranging from quad bikes and generators to main battle tanks, and weapons from pistols to cannons.


About the role
Here at Babcock International we are looking to recruit a Category Manager to join the Bristol based team delivering the Phoenix || Fleet Management contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct supplier relationship for your respective supply category (Vehicle Lease, Vehicle Rental, Quoted Rental etc), managing the delivery of service between the supply chain, internal Phoenix II operations teams and our customer.
You will also manage and chair supply chain performance reviews, measuring performance against contracted SLA's and KPI's using relevant data, identifying and addressing issues, developing improvement plans where appropriate.

What do I need to do the role?
You will need to hold experience in a Category Management capacity with expertise in managing suppliers and the relationships.
Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
* Experience in managing and procuring services
* Excellent understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, ideally with public sector knowledge.
* CIPS or willing to study towards


What else do I need to know?
