Why Recruiting

A leading Defence and Security company and looking to bring in a Capability Manager The continuous development, embedment and maturity of PE capability (people &
process) at all levels across the QinetiQ Group, ensuring high-effectiveness and full
alignment to ISBP.

The role

Proactively publicise and make available CPD activities, advice and support to
everyone in the capability.

Continuous improvement of the capability through the relevant blended learning
and development provided by via The Academy.

Identifying and responding to the need for rapid interventions to drive change in the
competencies within the capability Community & Communications.

Develop a network of relevant stakeholders throughout QinetiQ to assist in the
development of a high-performing capability.

Developing effective communications channels across the community and for
maintaining a continuous flow of relevant content.
Collaboration & Relationships

Work with relevant leaders and managers within QinetiQ to create collaborative
working relationships that demonstrably drive the QinetiQ performance capability
and culture.

Developing, embedding and evolving all published Operating Framework processes
relating to the capability.

Continuous improvement of the processes, guidance and performance reporting
based upon feedback, assessments and comparisons with industry standards.

Leadership & Coaching

As a member of the PE central team, act as a visible leader and ambassador for the

whole PE function, so that PE are recognised and trusted as adding demonstrable
value and directly enabling business and customer advantage.

Proactively support the development of the capability by providing coaching and
education to the community and others as required.

Key Capabilities/Knowledge

Detailed knowledge of the design and implementation of their capability, including
understanding of underpinning principles and the supporting systems.

Strong leadership capabilities to effectively build and inspire high-performing teams

with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration. Excellent abilities to
collaborate with network of geographically dispersed stakeholders.

Strong management skills to drive successful delivery against an agreed plan and to
challenge behaviours and accepted working practices at all levels.

Demonstrate high-levels of negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to build
strong relationships quickly at all levels and across all disciplines.

Strong team working skills to create an environment where a diverse group of
individuals are able to successful work together to achieve a common goal

Act as a role-model by exhibiting flexible and adaptable qualities and being a high
performer in a dynamic environment.

Demonstrable high level of IT competency including the ability to learn new systems
and packages as required.

Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills including innovative and creative
thinking; and scenario modelling.
