Campaign Manager - Information as a Service (IaaS)

The Information as a Service (IaaS) Campaign Manager will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and leading the capture of opportunities across the UK MOD information management and exploitation domain. The (IaaS) Campaign is a cross-cutting campaign that aims to deliver technically and commercially innovative solutions for Information Management and Exploitation across the entire spectrum of single service and Joint UK Defence capabilities & adjacent services.

Operating as a member of a closely integrated, yet highly flexible, Campaign team , you will be expected to deliver major contributions to the entire spectrum of Business Winning, from BD strategy to bid writing. Primary focus customers include, but are not limited to:

  • UK Joint Forces Command
  • Air Command
  • ISTAR Force HQ
  • The Strategic Weapons Project Team.

Primary focus capabilities are:

  • Geospatial Intelligence
  • Air Operations Information Support
  • Intelligence Mission Data
  • Air Command and Control

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of UK Defence, its mission, the roles played by each service, and their associated information-related tactics, techniques and processes. The successful candidate will have served in the UK Armed Forces or will have gained the requisite knowledge through relevant industry experience. The successful candidate will have an established network of relationships with relevant Defence and Industrial stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategy: Develop and achieve approval from the Business Development Leadership Team for your Capture strategy including associated Business Development investments.
  • Customer relationships: Build and maintain relationships at a senior management level, and provide support and insight to the Campaign to drive the long term capture outcomes, in-year orders and order intake pipeline growth.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate timely and successful delivery through strong leadership of a virtual team.
  • In Year Accountabilities: Deliver the current year order intake and order intake pipeline (typically £10-50m) in accordance with the expectations stated in the campaign objectives; focus on both short and long term objectives, building sustainable revenue and profit.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Business Winning Competence: Able to demonstrate a track record of complex campaign management through the complete business winning lifecycle.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams of senior professionals that span business and functional boundaries.
  • Domain Relevance: Relevant experience of winning business with customers and industrial partners in a demonstrably similar environment.
  • Execution of Win Strategy: Track record of campaign win strategy development and the execution of associated capture plans that meet stretching in-year targets and achieve long-term pipeline growth on a similar scale to that expected within the Strategic Campaign.
  • Deal Success: Has led, developed, negotiated and closed strategically important contracts (as a minimum that are greater than £10M in value).
