Buyer £24,000 Stonehouse, Gloucestershire We are looking to recruit a Buyer to work on a permanent basis for a global engineering and energy business based for their regional UK HQ in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The organisation employs over 100,000 people globally specialising in projects in the Oil & Gas sector. The role of the Buyer will be to ensure items or services are purchased from specified suppliers and are delivered upon agreed terms and conditions seeking maximum value for the company. Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the following key tasks.Accurate and timely preparation or Purchase Orders.Work with Product Line Planning Manager in order to plan and prioritise purchasing activities.Review planned orders, creates requisitions for purchased items and manage the approval process.Tracks orders from suppliers, Lead Time, Delivery Dates and CostsReviews, updates and maintains Open Purchase Orders until closed.Report Supplier non-conformancesWork with finance and Logistics staff in resolving reception and invoice discrepanciesPerson Specification: Skills and experience:Some experience in purchasing, placing purchase orders would be advantageousExperience with SAP is an added advantageExcellent communication skills-both verbal and writtenStrong time-management and task prioritization skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookDetail-oriented with proven ability for accuracyQuick learner; flexible and adaptable; willingness to take on additional duties and continuously strives to improve skill set; professional conduct; ability to work under pressure.The role is a full time, permanent role based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.
