Business Operations Coordinator (Data Science/ Python / SQL / VBA) - London - 12 month contract

Business Operations Coordinator (Data Science/ Python / SQL / VBA) required to join a data science team of a multinational insurance company based in London on a 12 month contract.


  • Engage corporate functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Sourcing, etc.) to ensure effective delivery of seamless operations to scientists in London.
  • Empower Science leadership with the information to make decisions and the tactical levers to drive change within the division.
  • Lead high-impact projects to create new analytical or operational capacity for the Science division and/or the broader organisation.

Required Attributes:

  • Experience of developing executive-level management analytics
  • Experience of negotiating/drafting statements of work for professional services contracts
  • Experience of working on a global team across multiple time zones
  • Highly productive - a master of prioritisation and to-do lists.
  • Strong bias toward action and tangible, pragmatic results.
  • Ability to cultivate a network of experts to assist in execution - but won't hesitate to roll up sleeves and do something if that's what it will take to get the job delivered on time.
  • Structured thinking and problem solving skills
  • Highly analytical - seeks data to make decisions
  • Mastery of the full Microsoft Office suite of productivity tools
  • Commitment to continuous learning and the adoption of new productivity-enhancing technologies


  • Deep interest in data science
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages, especially Python, SQL, or VBA.
  • Ability to synthesize conclusions and convince stakeholders of the case for change
