Business Development Manager

£30,000 - £45,000 (Up to £70,000 OTE) - Central London

We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to work on a permanent basis for a market leading global business based in Central London.

The organisation is a global business information services, and media organisation who work within the financial and risk, legal, tax and accounting, intellectual property and science and media markets. The Business Development Manager will be accountable for nurturing and growing existing client relationships across Corporate's, Law Firms, Public Sector, academics and Government.

This role has a high profile within the business and success will open significant opportunities within the business as well as ensuring development on an individual basis. Looking for an individual who will create, manage, and close a pipeline of new business opportunities, including software, whilst always protecting and developing existing revenue streams.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Manage and own a sales pipeline of new business which consistently delivers above expectation results.
  • Maintain and develop existing customers through appropriate positions and ethical sales methods, relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the sales process.
  • Provide input into the future sales vision including new markets, new products, new customers and new ways of doing business.

Technical Skills and qualifications required

  • Understanding of Legal industry preferred.
  • Experience of managing high volume accounts.
  • Highly motivated and self confident in approach to role.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise according to the overall plan.
  • Good networking and relationship building abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and customers.
