About the role
As a Business Development Manager within our Marine Training business you'll be supporting us as we deliver world-class training both UK and Internationally. With over 800,000 training days delivered so far we equip people to operate and support the most complex marine platforms, logistics and equipment - using our collaborative, customer centric approach.

The Business Development Manager will provide a maritime focussed, bid identification and bid exploitation capability and solution development within the Marine Training Business Unit.

The post will work closely with key individuals within the RN and Marine Training operations teams in the delivery of organic growth and new business. The post will support the development and implementation of new business in maritime and adjacent markets and the implementation of wider markets business within the BU to deliver national and international business growth.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll ideally have a Project Management qualification e.g. APMP-accredited / Prince2 and Marine Engineering qualification / experience

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • Extensive experience and responsibility in the Royal Navy, ideally connected with international training, or to have similar experience of RN International Defence Training activities.
  • Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with senior international naval customers in developing and managing training solutions to meet their needs
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships
  • A highly professional individual with extensive and broad based Management experience
