My Newcastle based client are currently recruiting for a Business Development Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing business with a strong focus on using sales to escalate that growth and build a strong market brand. In this role you will be tasked with growing the existing customer base through targeted sales calls and following up on marketing activity and inbound enquiries. You will be generating information to be used by the wider sales team and building a portfolio of target clients which can be used by yourself and the wider team.

Key responsibilities for this role will also include:

  • Researching existing accounts and selling add ons and new products to them.
  • Cleansing data to generate strong leads
  • Qualifying opportunities through marketing leads and enquiries
  • Creating strong sales pipeline for targeted products
  • A small element of cold calling to generate business

Key skills for this role will include:

  • Previous telemarketing experience
  • Experience of hitting sales driven targets
  • Experience in selling IT solutions would be advantageous
  • Strong IT skills including word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Any Azure knowledge would be advantageous.
