Business Development Director

Our nationwide client is looking for a new Business Development Director. Whilst the base for this client is in the Scottish central belt, this role is open to anyone within the United Kingdom as they are open to remote candidates.

In this role, the candidate is responsible for the procurement of new targeted accounts and current clients. You will pinpoint strategic growth opportunities in the marketplace, provide guidance and information on key trends in an array of sectors, and advocate for new digital solutions services. You will develop firm and exciting relationships internally while expanding our overall client base.

Prospecting and acquiring new accounts will be accomplished using a consultative selling strategy that gives prospective clients access to innovative strategies and solutions, in a highly efficient manner. You shall also form a tight relationship with out fantastic Account Directors, to build demand for integrated solutions that exercise our capabilities and services from a holistic perspective

What will the role involve?

  • Partake in the consultative sale of digital solutions that encourage expansion and increases the profitability of the business
  • The capability to use content management systems such as Sitecore, Umbraco and Epi.
  • The capability to employ the use of digital marketing strategies especially SEO
  • Undertake detailed analysis of client business environments. This may encompass customer needs, capabilities/assets, and competitive realities. In doing so, you must then identify unique business opportunities
  • Take charge of the design and application of information-driven digital strategies from opportunity identification through to experience implementation, including project work, managing data, setting objectives, project profitability, and time-line execution
  • Lead customer acquisition and revenue through a defined target prospect list
  • Forge relationships by networking, referrals, and business development with target clients
  • Create and deliver presentations to key stakeholders, influencers, and buyers to position our value proposition
  • Team up with creative, technology, and account management to ensure success within project handoffs and for work to be strategically positioned for long-term success
  • Establish yourself as trusted advisor for our clients on value-added solutions, consulting offerings, and additional products and services
  • Undertake primary market and customer research, and perform analysis to understand their business challenges, system requirements, and benefits achieved from using our solutions
  • Build and engage 3rd-party strategic partners to make sure our internal operations are made more efficient to better manage and deliver workflows, innovate on new solutions for our clients, and maintain thought leadership and knowledge with regard to new technologies in the constantly changing market
  • Being commercially aware and focused at all times.
  • Be a role model in advocating quality and drive for team's output being in line with our high standards.

  • You have great communication skills; this entails both written and verbal.
  • You are forward-thinking and proactive.
  • You have an extensive knowledge of a wide range of techniques, tools, and concepts for strategic thinking.
  • You establish great relationships with clients. Your educated and justified opinions gain you respect from them, whilst being to inspire them allowing for the acquisition of their business
  • Previous background of working within a well-established, high paced digital agency environment
