We have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join Experis on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our Employed Consultant team, on site with a multi-national technology company based in Reading. Role purpose

We are seeking a Business Analyst to work with one of our large Energy clients to work on large scale technology and business transformation projects for their Business Solutions. The Business Analyst will ensure the controlled development and deployment of change initiatives working primarily with business project managers and appropriate project stakeholders through the full project lifecycle.

The role is responsible for requirements elicitation, traceability and resolution across a breadth of scope covering Customer, Product, Process, Organisation, Location, Data, Applications and Technology.

Activities:

  • Work with project team and stakeholders to elicit requirements, converting into requirements specifications, traceability and resolution. Identify all deliverables required to achieve business objective.
  • Challenge requirements and solution design assumptions to ensure optimum delivery
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies escalating appropriately to minimise impact
  • Forecasts time and effort to achieve project deliverables with accuracy and defined assumptions
  • Communicates well with internal colleagues, external stakeholders and service providers

Accountabilities:

  • Identify the need that is to be met through processes and enabling technology required to meet recommendations provided.
  • Produce written documentation to support progress of work, report on findings, trace deliverability and present to stakeholders as necessary.
  • Ensure plans are made and processes created to evaluate the impact of solution options to achieve the best outcome
  • Play your part in effective financial controls and project governance
  • Use data or process modelling practices to analyse findings and create suggestions for improvement
  • Understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole. Build knowledge and relationships to investigate services, products and solution options
  • Is able to deliver requirements using short development cycles using agile principles

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Expert knowledge of Business Solutions systems, process, people relationships, solution architecture, process hierarchy, service providers and governance frameworks
  • Experience of Driving Performance through leadership, empowerment and personal development
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders at discretionary levels across the organisation
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience of Business Analysis tools and techniques across multi-delivery methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall
  • Sound ability to handle large volumes of complex data
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate with have a Business Analysis qualification i.e. BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
