Business Analyst

We are actively looking to secure a Business Analyst to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

The Role

Following the result of the EU referendum and subsequent triggering of Article 50, our client is reviewing its systems to identify and implement any changes or upgrades that will be necessary due to the UK's withdrawal from the EU. It is likely that there will need to be significant change to a large number of critical systems, and therefore they requires a number of Business Analysts to work within the cross-functional delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Product Owner to assist with the development of the business case and initial change requests
  • Planning and monitoring; Functional modelling
  • Eliciting requirements; Cost /benefit analysis
  • Being the eyes and ears and acting as de-facto Product Owner;
  • Requirements management including traceability; Database design and data transformation
  • Translating and simplifying requirements; Reporting and statistical analysis
  • Requirements & Scope management and communication
  • Requirements analysis and validation
  • Supporting the design or review of test cases,
  • Manage formal changes in scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.

Technologies

  • Skill with and knowledge of requirements capture methods and techniques, business systems and analysis, front end process, software development life cycles and associated processes
  • Methodology, proficient in the use of requirements capturing methodology, like
  • Waterfall or RUP toolset
  • Able to use Data modelling techniques
  • Experience with the Windows Suite and MS Office applications

Key Skills

  • Strong experience in Requirements & Analysis on large scale and/or multi project environments, Data Capture, Data Analysis
  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills, including technical writing ability (including User Stories, Process Flow, Entity Relationship Modelling, State Transition)
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, facilitation, diplomacy and prioritisation skills in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Problem-solving while working in a time-boxed delivery environment
  • Leadership, team working and collaboration
  • Strong technical skills; ability to work in a large, complex IT estate
  • Data wrangling, including understanding of SQL (estate currently includes use of
  • Oracle, Ingres, MySQL) and Hadoop.
