Location: Telford - travel to other sites will be required from time to time

Contract Duration: 6 Months

About the Project:

You will be responsible for creating, communicating and maintaining analysis artefacts such as requirements specifications, logical data models, use case models and business process models. You will support the Product Owner in managing the product backlog. In large project environments, the Business Analyst may coordinate and govern business analysis activities across multiple delivery teams. The successful candidate will have worked on large scale Tax and Financial projects and Documentum experience is a desired skill.

Role Description:

  • Creates, maintains and communicates analysis models and requirements specifications that meet the Product Owner's approval
  • Works with the Product Owner and the project delivery team to generate and prioritise product backlog items
  • Ensures the project delivery team understands items in the product backlog to the level needed
  • With the Product Owner, educates the project delivery team in the business domain
  • Works with the Product Owner, project delivery team and Stakeholders to elaborate the requirements for backlog items to meet the definition of 'ready'
  • In the Product Owner's absence, may act as his or her proxy
  • Has a working knowledge of Agile and Lean concepts as applied at scale
  • Holds the values of the Agile Manifesto and applies the principles behind the Agile Manifesto
  • Encourages the principle of self-organizing teams
  • Ensures that best-practice analysis tools and techniques are followed and improved on
  • Ensures on-going process improvement and consistent good practice across all delivery teams
  • Experience in working in a complex environment

Essential skills:

  • Previous Content Management experience required
