Business Analyst - Agile

Location: Remote / Southend-On-Sea

The successful candidate will have active SC clearance or be SC Cleared eligible.

Role Description:

  • The Business Analyst will own a specific set of business requirements and engage with business, IT and programme architects to translate them into technical requirements for a specific processing system.
  • Carry out a gap analysis against as-is and to help plan outstanding work.
  • In-depth understanding of the IT delivery lifecycle (business requirements, technical requirements, design, delivery, component testing, integrated testing, go live)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills - This is a large programme where the Business Analyst needs to get a diverse set of stakeholders to agree by proactive finding of the right people and getting them together.
  • Experience of Agile tools (Jira and Confluence)

The scope of the Business Analyst role includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Works under broad direction. Is fully accountable for own technical work and/or project responsibilities.
  • Establishes own milestones and team objectives, and delegates responsibilities.
  • Makes decisions which impact on the success of assigned projects i.e. results, deadlines and budget.
  • Performs a challenging range and variety of complex technical or professional work activities. Undertakes work which requires the application of fundamental principles in a wide and often unpredictable range of contexts.
  • Analyses, diagnoses, designs, plans, execute and evaluates work to time, cost and quality targets.
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues, subordinates and customers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change.

Mandatory Technical Skills - Business Analysis, Agile, Jira, Confluence

Desirable Technical Skills - Cloud and Amazon Web Services knowledge a bonus, and awareness of solution architecture
