Business Change Manager


£40,000 + Benefits

We are looking to recruit a Business Change Manager to work on a permanent basis for a FTSE 100 Engineering and Support Services business based in Telford.

The organisation is the UKs largest provider of engineering and support services to the UKs Armed forces. From the site in Telford the organisation service, maintain and repair, the Army's fleet of land vehicles to ensure they are available for operations.

The role of the Business Change Manager will be to deliver Business Change initiatives using a change management and programme delivery toolkit. You will lead and deliver the initiatives on time and in full to budget against an agreed plan and manage teams against deadlines to assure deliverables are met. You will be responsible for ensuring key processes are consistent across the department utilising change management techniques to ensure stakeholder engagement, communications and embedding of solutions.

This will be achieved by taking responsibility for the following duties;

  • Work with the management team to identify opportunities for change and help drive them through to completion
  • Use change management, process management and programme management toolkits to identify, scope, value and deliver lasting organisational change
  • Manage effective communications across a number of initiatives
  • Support and deliver Project Improve workstreams
  • Provide progress reports and deliver updates to management team.
  • Develop and report against agreed performance indicators.
  • Provide advice on the management of effective and efficient processes.
  • Monitor programme delivery with external providers / other departments to ensure business objectives are met
  • Deliver internal training to ensure the organisation develop the skills to manage change

Technical Experience and Qualifications required

  • A degree, relevant professional qualification (NVQ 4, HND, Graduate Diploma, BTEC, PG Dip) or relevant experience in a senior capacity in a complex organisation
  • Experience in defence, automotive, engineering, manufacturing or related industry would be advantageous
  • Clear and demonstrable understanding of organisational change, and benefits delivery
  • Excellent organisational skills and expertise in managing teams budgets and deadlines
  • An ability to develop and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels in an organisation (both internal and external), including the ability to engage with and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience of developing business cases, project reports, and giving presentations.
  • An understanding of the challenges of MoD commercial and cultural working methods.
  • Willingness to travel in the UK.
  • Experience of operational delivery in a complex, time critical environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to relate to both client and customer needs at all levels with respect to operational delivery requirements.
