Building Surveyor (Property Maintenance)
Our client a large public sector organisation require a Building Surveyor to work with the Property Maintenance Manager.
The Surveyor will help to deliver projects within the annual property maintenance programme as allocated by the Property Maintenance Manager, Develop, manage and implement a range of smaller scale maintenance and building schemes, Oversee Major Capital Projects, Provide advice to managers on building maintenance matters, Maintain all necessary records in accordance with good practice for managing property schemes, To undertake and advise on Health & Safety risk assessments, To assist in the purchase and / or sale of properties together with establishing or terminating lease agreements.
Skills & Experience required:- Essential: Experience of managing building maintenance projects, Experience of overseeing building maintenance work, e.g. clerk of works role. Demonstrable negotiating skills to match user requirements to available resources. Knowledge of Asset Management Plans. Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Health & Safety, DDA, etc. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to develop positive working relationships internally and externally. focused approach to delivering projects on time and budget. · Organised approach to work. Corporate member of RICS or equivalent property based qualification. Desirable: Competence in computer software applications e.g. Microsoft Office products, Knowledge of Prince 2 or alternative Project Management, Relevant Health & Safety qualification.
