Working in partnership with some of the world's leading broadcasters you will lead a small team to develop and own the technology capable of delivering a portfolio of media services products utilising private and public cloud technology with a blend of on premise where appropriate. You will take new product ideas and enhancements from initial business case through design, implementation and operational handover and will provide peer level support to the engineering and operations teams during the complete lifecycle.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to provide technology leadership to support the transition of media service products to public cloud / private datacentre software defined architectures. The cloud architect owns the media services technology roadmap and is responsible for its prioritization and delivery within an agile framework.

Reporting to the Director of Technology and taking commercial input from the product lines and commercial teams you will be responsible for setting the roadmap and delivering key projects to time and to budget while adhering to the pillars of the strategic plan.

You will ensure that all technology introduced to the business is fit for purpose and that its development and delivery follows the service launch process ensuring new services are on time, to budget and technologically appropriate.

You will represent media service at industry forums and will speak on behalf of the company on panel debates and in the press; you will attend customer workshops and act as the voice of the customer in solution design.

Key Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of Broadcast media and technology, and the convergence with cloud and IP based technologies.
  • Inherent knowledge of cloud architectures both public and private with practical application in broadcast / OTT services
  • Degree educated in Broadcast engineering or similar discipline or have equivalent experience
  • Experience of managing complex multi-party projects to deliver technology solutions.
  • Experience of agile development methodologies and working with complex software developments.
