Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 Months

Sky is Europe's leading entertainment company and serves over 22 million customers across five countries. Our business in the UK and Ireland has come a long way since starting out as a satellite broadcaster in 1989 and we're not stopping there. We're home to award-winning teams for everything from Customer Service to Marketing, from Technology to Finance, meaning there's plenty of opportunity for you, no matter what your career goals.

Sky has an aspiration to be the best on-net and OTT player for both customers and content providers. Key to this is our ability to deliver the highest quality viewing experience. We need to ensure that the grades of service we deliver to our DTH customers are matched for our OTT customers.

There is a requirement to ensure that titles meet their VOD transmission dates as advertised so there needs to be extra support and diagnostics of the OTT VoD workflow. Various tools will be available to do this as well as access to various mobile and static devices. The OTT Platform Monitor will assist Platform Control and the OTT Service Centre in this role by identifying and escalating issues to support teams and producing reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Platform Control and OTT Service Centre in the triage of OTT VoD incidents
  • Escalate issues to support teams and content owners
  • Communication with both Sky and 3rd party stakeholders
  • Gather stats and compile reports on asset availability

  • Some experience of IT systems/workflows

  • Interest in broadcasting technologies
  • Experience with Sky platforms - SkyHD, Sky Q, Sky Go, Now TV

Technologies / Skills Sought:

  • Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, SharePoint

It's our people that make Sky Europe's leading entertainment company. That's why we work hard to be an inclusive employer, so everyone at Sky can be their best.
